This new section has been created to assist people who have recently arrived to the city, or are planning a move to Barcelona in the future. There is a lot of useful information about the different neighbourhoods of Barcelona and the nearby areas such as Sant Just, Sant Cugat, Maresma, Castelldefels and Sitges. This will enable prospective clients to understand the pro´s and con´s of each area which will enable them to choose an area to live in, that best fulfills their requirements.
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION
Barcelona is located in the north-east of the Iberian Peninsula and the capital of Catalonia, Spain. There is a total population of around 1.5 million inhabitants in the city and this figure goes up to around 4 million when we include all the surrounding areas of the city. Barcelona is the second largest city of Spain and is located in a very privileged coast area of the Mediterrenean sea. There is a total of 17 autonomous communities in Spain, some with their own dialects like Catalonia which has two official languages Catalonian and Spanish.

CLIMATE
Barcelona has a typical Mediterranean climate with hot summers, relatively mild winters and Mediterranean rains which are characterized by being intense but last a very short period of time.
